Here at Buttercream, we love a good party! Whether you're celebrating a birthday, hen do, wedding, baby shower, anniversary or any other special occasion, our unique tearoom is available for private hire after closing or on Sundays.

 

Seating up to 40 guests, we can cater for all ages and offer everything from our popular Afternoon Tea and buffets to a delicious 3-course meal.

Our private Afternoon Tea celebrations are usually for 2 hours which incur a £50 venue hire, with Afternoon Tea priced at £24 per person. This includes: a selection of finger sandwiches, quiche and salad, a scone with jam and clotted cream, cupcake, tart and mousse, plus tea and coffee.

Our buffet menus start from £12 per person and the booking incurs a £50 venue hire, for 2 hours.

​

Additional venue hire is charged at £25 per hour. You are welcome to arrive 30 minutes before your booking to decorate the tearoom and make it your own. We have plenty of hooks available for hanging decorations, although we do ask that nothing is stuck to the walls and that table confetti is not used.

​

We are fully licensed, with a great selection of alcoholic and soft drinks available throughout your celebration.

 

For Sunday private hire, we have a minimum requirement of 15 adult guests for Afternoon Tea, and 25 guests for a buffet. 

​

For private hire after closing Monday-Saturday we have a minimum requirement of 10 adults for Afternoon Tea, or 15 for a buffet.

​

To secure your booking, we ask for the £50 room hire as an initial deposit, followed by a further £5 per person two weeks before your event, when we will also require your final numbers and dietary requirements.

 

The remaining per person charge, plus any additional drinks, can then be settled on the day or in advance if preferred.
